Commercial AV · Houston
Walk in. Start the meeting.
Get on with the work.
Commercial technology earns its place when users do not need instructions and the support team is not afraid of it.
Our point of view
Enterprise AV still comes down to people trying to communicate.
We design around the room, the workflow and the support model—not around a generic bundle of displays and USB devices. A boardroom and a training room may use similar products but they do not have the same job.
Audio intelligibility is treated as seriously as video. Microphone coverage, AEC, gain structure, loudspeaker placement and DSP programming determine whether remote participants can actually follow the conversation.
For larger systems, control, network architecture, monitoring and documentation are planned up front so the technology remains supportable after turnover.
What gets considered
Performance lives in the details.
01Conference + boardrooms
Presentation, conferencing, audio and control designed around the meeting.
02Teams + Zoom Rooms
Purpose-built room systems with consistent user experience and support paths.
Training + divisible spaces
Routing and control logic that adapts as rooms combine and divide.
Video walls + digital signage
Display systems engineered for content, service access and operating hours.
05Networked AV
Dante, AV over IP, managed switching and monitoring where scale demands it.
Solutions by space
Different rooms have different jobs.
01Conference + meeting rooms
Displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, presentation and simple room control for everyday collaboration.
Executive boardrooms
High-performance conferencing, discreet microphones, premium displays, intuitive control and presentation systems designed for leadership spaces.
Video conferencing solutions
Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms and BYOD collaboration with consistent camera, microphone, loudspeaker and content-sharing performance.
Training + divisible rooms
Instructor audio, multiple displays, wireless presentation, recording and routing/control logic that adapts when rooms combine or divide.
Video walls + visualization
Direct-view LED, LCD video walls, control-room displays and digital signage engineered for viewing distance, content, service access and operating hours.
Town halls + multipurpose spaces
Speech reinforcement, cameras, streaming, presentation and flexible control for larger all-hands and event spaces.
Houses of worship + performance
Speech intelligibility, music reinforcement, video, streaming and volunteer-friendly control designed around the room.
Operations + support spaces
Always-on displays, networked sources, monitoring and serviceability for spaces where downtime carries a real cost.
Behind the room
A polished meeting depends on engineering no one notices.
Commercial AV is not just a camera and a display. Microphone coverage, acoustic echo cancellation, DSP gain structure, loudspeaker placement, content routing, USB transport, control programming and network behavior all determine whether a room feels reliable.
For larger projects we design around Dante, AV over IP, managed switching, centralized routing and monitoring where those technologies solve a real scale or flexibility problem. We also plan rack access, labeling and documentation so another technician can understand the system years later.
Obsidian supports new conference-room and commercial AV installations as well as upgrades, troubleshooting and takeovers of existing systems.
Commercial AV service + supportSystems + infrastructure
Built for the room. Built to stay supportable.
DSP + intelligible audio
AEC, automixing, gain structure, microphone coverage and loudspeaker design focused on understandable speech.
Cameras + conferencing
Camera framing, USB transport, platform integration and room behavior designed for in-room and remote participants.
Presentation + content
Wired and wireless presentation, BYOD, source switching and routing that users can understand without a cheat sheet.
Control + automation
Crestron, Q-SYS and other control workflows shaped around the room instead of exposing every device to the user.
Networked AV
Dante, AV over IP, VLAN planning, managed switching and multicast behavior engineered with the network rather than added after it.
Documentation + support
Labeling, rack organization, programming backups and service documentation designed for day-two support.
Start with the experience
Make the technology disappear from the meeting.
We can talk through the room, your priorities, what you already own and what you want to improve. No catalog pitch required.
